Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy

Last Updated March 1, 2025

DMCA Policy:

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is essential legislation in the United States that enables individuals and organizations to combat copyright infringement online. As a website owner, it is crucial to implement a DMCA policy to protect creative content and intellectual property. This policy outlines the steps for reporting alleged infringement, how the website will respond to such reports, and the procedure for filing a counter-notice.

To ensure compliance with DMCA regulations, our website has established the following procedures:

1. Reporting Alleged Infringement:

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been infringed upon on our website, please follow these steps:
– Submit a formal DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent, which includes:
– A statement, made under penalty of perjury, confirming your ownership of the copyrighted work or your authorization to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
– Identification of the copyrighted work being infringed.
– Sufficient information to locate the alleged infringing material.
– Your contact information.
– A statement affirming a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material is not authorized.

To submit a notice of claimed copyright infringement, you will need to provide us with the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature (typing your full name will suffice) of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., a link to your original work or clear description of the materials allegedly being infringed upon);
  • Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit Twitter to locate the material on our website or services;
  • Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and an email address;
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner asserted is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  • A statement that the information in the complaint is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

If you must send your notice by physical mail, you can do that too, but it will take substantially longer for us to receive and respond to it. Notices we receive via plain-text email have a much faster turnaround than PDF attachments or physical mail. If you still wish to mail us your notice, our mailing address is:

2. Action Upon Receipt of Takedown Notice:
Upon receiving a valid takedown notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the infringing material in accordance with DMCA regulations.

3. Counter-Notice Procedure:
If you believe a takedown notice was issued in error, you may file a counter-notice by providing:
– Your contact details.
– A statement affirming a good faith belief that the material was wrongly removed.

Upon receipt of a valid counter notice, the copyright owner has a limited period to respond. If no further legal action is taken, the removed material may be restored.

It is important to note that only authorized individuals, such as content publishers, copyright owners, or code writers, can file a DMCA takedown notice. Proof of ownership and detailed information about the infringing content are required to initiate the process.

Thank you for your cooperation in protecting intellectual property rights on the internet.

This DMCA policy is effective immediately and will be regularly reviewed to ensure compliance with current regulations.
